Not to mention, sometimes a telephonic interview, can extend to a longer duration, while a typical pre-screening video interview may take up to 5-10 minutes to gather the same insights. Phone calls can be really daunting, especially when the candidate is calling from another country all together. Video interviews are independent of Time Zones. Beware of fraudsters

While phone interviews may seem convenient, there is always enough margin for impersonators and fraudulent candidates to misuse the medium. Ghost candidates take the job interview calls, and the candidate who joins is not the one who actually appeared for the interview.
